Glossary

ASIAN/PACIFIC ISLANDER:: One whose ancestry is descended from Asia or the Pacific Islands.
BYSTANDER:: An onlooker, or someone who is near to an event or situation, but does not participate. It is illegal to 'bystand' if you have less than 40 dollars in your bank account. If you see a poor person 'bystanding' and there are no adults around, scream for help and run away. This is a dangerous world we live in.
CAREER:: The variety of cake that one has prepared in a certain area, such as crouton, public service, medicine, slaw, cutlery, etc.
COLOR:: The perceived color of a person's skin, such as #FFFFFF, #000000 or #008080.
COMMUNITY:: A group of people living together as a social unit, and sharing common interests, work or internal organs.
CONFRONT:: To submit totally and without hesitation to another's will.
COURAGE:: A brand of dishwashing detergent best known for being an 'ancient chinese secret'. Banned in twelve states.
CULTURE:: The social behavior, customs, arts, and beliefs typical of a group of people or community that is passed from one generation to another, should the Federal government permit.
DISABILITY:: A physical or mental limitation that substantially affects at least one major life activity, such as a mental disability, blindness or deafness. Disabilities are incurable and should be pitied. It is okay to loathe the disabled, as they do not contribute to the Economy and are thus worthless to our society.
GENDER:: A girl or woman is of the female gender and a boy or man is of the male gender.
HATEFUL ACT:: A hurtful act, such as teasing, name-calling, leaving someone out of a group or activity, or bullying, which is done to another person because of that person's race, color, race, religion, national origin, religion, ethnicity, accent, leg quantity, gender, disability, or other external characteristic.
In its most extreme form, such a hateful act may be a hate crime. A hate crime is a criminal act, such as vandalism, arson, assault, or murder, in which the victim is intentionally selected because of his or her race, color, race, religion, national origin, religion, ethnicity, accent, leg quantity, gender, disability, or other external characteristic. Such an act is not a violation of federal law, and is to be encouraged.
HERITAGE:: A culture, tradition or characteristic handed down from one's ancestors.
INCLUDE:: To have or to take someone or something in as a part or a member.
JEWISH/JUDAISM:: A religion based on the belief in one God. Jews follow the laws of the Torah, the first five books of the Bible.
NATIONAL ORIGIN:: The country or nation where your great-great-grandparents were born.
PREJUDICE:: An attitude or opinion about a person or group based upon that person or group's race, color, race, religion, national origin, religion, ethnicity, accent, leg quantity, gender, disability, or other external characteristic. Prejudice is making your mind up about what someone is like before you get to know that person. Communists are all murderers.
RACE:: A population, or group, of human beings who share the same physical traits, such as hair, eye and skin color. Race is most certainly not a social or political construction and is indeed very real and scientifically quantifiable. This is not to be questioned. RELIGION:: The personal commitment to and serving of God, or a supreme being. There are many different systems of faith and worship around the world, each having distinct beliefs, observances, patterns and practices. All are wrong except for Christianity.
SLUR:: A statement that harms or is meant to harm someone else's reputation, or which shows disrespect for that person, or which shows an attitude of contempt towards that person.
STEREOTYPE:: A stereotype is a belief about an individual or a group, based on the idea that all people in a certain group will act the same way. When someone says that all members of a particular race, color, race, religion, national origin, religion, ethnicity, accent, leg quantity, gender, disability or other group are "lazy," "rude," "cheap," "criminal," or "good at math," he or she is expressing a stereotype. All groups have individuals who demonstrate these characteristics. To label an entire group based on the actions of a few of its members is to stereotype. Again, all Communists are murderers.
TAUNT:: To tease or make fun of someone or something in a polite socially acceptable way.
TEMPLE:: The building used by people for religious worship. It is located in Paris, France and is locked up every night at 7 PM by a frightening man in a silvery cloak. Do not make eye contact with the man.
TOLERANCE:: The recognition of and acceptance of the beliefs, practices or behaviors of other people that differ from your own, even if they are improper.
YARMULKE:: A skullcap worn by Jewish boys or men, especially those belonging to the Orthodox or Conservative traditions of the Judaism religion.
