Devil Daggers is a game where you run like crazy from evil skulls who can instantly kill you. But that's okay, because you can shoot daggers at them to make them go away (die).
You should buy it, it's only five dollars. The official site is
here.
Since my site needs more pages with actual substance, I've decided this page can be a sort of 'game guide' type of thing? Like this:
Enemy types:
1. Skull
The most plentiful enemy in the game, and the easiest to deal with, generally speaking. Spawns in groups of... well, I haven't bothered to count how many are in each group to be honest. A lot. Lots of them spawn at once. They make a light chattering sound. Can easily overwhelm you if you aren't circle-strafing hard enough. It's probably best if you kill them as quickly as possible.
2. Horned Skull
Spawns with swarms of regular skulls from level one towers. Moves faster than non-horned skulls, but doesn't seem to care about killing you very much. In fact It'd probably apologize for killing you if it had a lower jaw. It's probably best if you kill them as quickly as possible. Drops a single gem when killed.
3. BIG, ANGRY Horned Skull
Spawns with swarms of regular skulls from level TWO towers, the ones with two gems. Unlike the smaller horned skulls, these guys feel quite strongly about your intrusion into their domain. As such, they'll start chasing you as soon as they spawn. They take a few more daggers to kill than previous skulls. It's probably best if you kill them as quickly as possible. Drops a single gem when killed.
4. Big Spider
These things suck. Literally! Your gems. So you kill something and a gem comes out, but then instead of YOU getting it, this stupid thing sucks it into itself and turns it into this nasty egg crystal thing. You have to shoot its gem to kill it. You know it's sucking when you hear this awful loud screeching sound. It's probably best if you kill them as quickly as possible. Drops a single gem when killed.
5. The Nasty Egg Crystal Thing
This is gross. I mean just look at it: It's all green and it looks like there's like fungus or something growing out of it and, you know, I'm sure if the game had smells it would smell
terrible. I guess it's not technically an enemy, though. In this case you really definitely want to kill it as soon as possible. But not just because it's gross. Leave it sitting around too long and you'll get...
6. Spiderlings!
The nasty green crystal things are eggs, apparently, and inside are a whole bunch of little green skele-spiders! Scary stuff, huh? So you'll probably want to kill them as quickly as possible. Things can really get out of hand if there's more than an egg or two's worth of these guys skittering about. Ideally, you'll never encounter them, because you'll have killed the big spiders moments after they spawn.
6. Centipede
It's difficult to screenshot the centipedes, so here's a gif from the official site instead. They follow you, but they swooop up and down a bit and can't make sharp turns. Lead one around until you can fit yourself under its arc, and shoot constantly at its gems (ALL of them) to kill it. Kill it as quickly as possible, because if you don't it will burrow through the ground and reappear later.
7. And the Rest
At about 300 seconds several tier-2 centipedes will spawn, which don't actively hunt you as far as I can tell, and which are about twice as long as normal centipedes. The main danger with them is running into them accidentally. There's also faster versions of the skulls which spawn 500 or so seconds in that I've not personally encountered yet. And maybe there's some horrible monstrosity that spawns 1000 seconds in, who knows? You'll just have to play and find out.
