=========================================================================== Primary purpose : Single play =========================================================================== Title : conflux Filename : conflux.wad Release date : ???????? Author : emptyhalls Email Address : emptyhalls@pm.me Other Files By Author : n/a Misc. Author Info : i never finish the second pop tart Description : You're in a place. You have a fist. You're very, very confused. There's some funny noises coming from around the corner. So begins your journey into conflux dot wad. The main thing here is there's a series of different liquids flowing together, red green and blue. Basically, three different environmental gimmicks, or four or five, or maybe fundamentally just two, who can say? There are superficial differences between the different skill levels. Ultra-violence is recommended, because it's the best difficulty setting, but if it's too difficult you could always try a lower setting. I haven't bothered testing Nightmare mode because I just don't think it's very fun. Anyway, irrespective of the difficulty settings, the most meaningful way that difficulty manifests here is through the order that you tackle the three main sections. Their difficulty levels are thus: Red - Easy Blue - Easy, then Hard Green - The most difficult of the three Red's certainly the easiest, for me at least, of course I've played and re-played this thing a bajillion times so maybe it's hard and I just don't realize it. It's mostly about timing. Blue has two sections, the first of which is largely based on exploration and ammo conservation. The second is about pressing the same five buttons many times in a row. Green is about nukage, and it's made much easier by finishing either red or blue first. You'll see how. This one isn't technically complete-able until you've finished both blue and red, but if you wanna try clearing out its enemies first, be my guest, but don't say I didn't warn you. Pay attention to your environment, look for nooks and crannies, you'll figure out what you need to do. Once you've completed the three main areas, you can see about brewing yourself up a red-green-blue stew. And then, because I just don't respect your time (or my own, for that matter), it gets Weird. Save often. Play time for me is about an hour and a half, maybe two hours. This is my first wad. (also, uhh, it doesn't really have an ending yet... only releasing now because I stopped working on it for so long that i don't totally remember how it all works script-wise, and it seems done enough to me in every way that makes a difference. maybe just keep playing until you run out of stuff to do?)
