Let's see if we can do this properly this time.

Maybe google has the answers?

...

Hmm.

First result says

A reader has just landed on your blog, devoured your latest post and fallen in love with your content. Curiosity: piqued. They’re hungry for more. They want to dive deeper, to know more about you – the gorgeous creature behind the words. So, what’s the next thing they do?

Yep. They head over to your About Me page.

Intriguing!

This could very well be the thing I've been looking for!

The truth is, your About page is actually more about your reader than it is about you. Your ultimate aim is to answer that all-important question that every reader is asking themselves as they browse through your site (whether they realise it or not):

What’s in it for me?

Oh my gosh, that's so true! How could I have been so naive?

Googling things sure is useful. All these different sources of information at my fingertips!

Another of the results says:

Your About me page needs to achieve a balance between being about you (naturally) and engaging with your reader. Think about how you can make your page about your reader rather than yourself.

Hmm. Yeah, I'll buy that.

What outcome are you looking for?

You want to :

1. Give your readers a nice warm feeling
2. Get them to sign up
3. Get them to complete an enquiry form, e-mail you or telephone

Well.. I mean, I suppose that's..
... I guess these guys know what they're doing, right? So..

Mistake 7. I bet you think your About Page is about you

This is perfectly natural, even if you aren’t so vain.

What most site owners miss is that your About Page is actually about the person who clicks the link to see it.

Huh. Guess that's the consensus, then. About me pages are NOT supposed to be about me.

With this in mind, I think I've discovered the perfect solution, by golly!
